Shared Science hosted its 5th Annual ROBOTech Festival in celebration of National Robotics Week. Shared Science advocates for STEAM educational learning opportunities within the Greater Long Beach area.
On April 2, 2017, parents and children of all ages descended on the Long Beach
City College campus from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to tinker, make slime, operate robots, attend
hands-on workshops, and explore their interests in robotics, science, technology,
engineering, art, and math, at the fifth annual ROBOTech Fest. Workshops focused
on engaging youth in science and technology in a fun and creative manner.
“We were super excited to host our annual ROBOTech Fest at the Long Beach City
College campus this year! Each year we have expanded the number of STEAM
organizations and businesses joining us to provide education and awareness to youth
and families in Long Beach,” shared Jacqui Viale, Shared Science Executive Director.
Many thanks to the Port of Long Beach for their sponsorship as well as Long Beach
City College, Keiles College Consulting, RCP Tracks, Galileo Innovation
Camps, and Digital Revolution for their support.
